Ignite 365: 2 of 365

Psalms and Wisdom Literature: Psalm 1

It is interesting that the righteous (whose faith is on God) is compared to a tree planted by streams of water. Its leaves do not wither (because it is deeply rooted to God's Word) and it yields its fruit in its season (comparable to the Fruit of the Spirit found at Galatians 5:22-23).

Pentateuch and History of Israel: Genesis 2

This narrates the seventh day when God rested from all his work that he had done. God blessed it and made it holy.

It is also on this part that God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, showing that God made man by His own hands. Man first, then said "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him." Then, God caused him to sleep, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that God had taken from the man he made into a woman.
At the end of the chapter, God said "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed."

Chronicles and Prophets: 1 Chronicles 2

These are lists of the generations of David.

Gospels and Epistles: Luke 1:26–56

Luke narrated here how Jesus Christ will be born. It was also stated Mary's visit to Elizabeth (the mother of John the Baptist).
